These exciting guided tours on the Urban Wholistics South Farm provide wonderful opportunities to learn about where our food comes from, how to care for it and connect more with nature. 

 

Urban Wholistics operates out of our community green space called Tatum Park. The park covers multiple lots and is open to the public from sunrise to sunset for visiting, learning and shopping the market. On the grounds you will find a variety of organically grown vegetables, fruits, herbs and plants.

Tour Features: 

• Learn the life cycles of fruit, vegetables and herbs and how they grow

• Games, Activities, and story telling

• Meet the farm animals and learn interesting facts about them

• Observe growing crops including melons, pumpkins, carrots and yellow raspberries

• Learn where our food comes from and how it grows

TOUR 1: WHERE DOES FOOD COME FROM

Duration: 1.5 hours

$15.00 per person and a minimum of $150 per group.

This is crucial learning for students and adults. Your guide will teach you about the life cycle of a plant and its products. Learn about urban farming, harvesting and delivery to the stores, restaurants and our farmers market. We will also explore innovative ways to earn money from flowers, herbs and produce.

TOUR 2: MEET UW FARM ANIMALS TOUR

Duration: 1.5 hours

$15.00 per person and a minimum of $150 per group.

Urban Wholistics Meet the Critter tour is exactly what you would think, You have a guided tour through the animal kennels to meet chickens, ducks and goats! Learn how animals impact our farm lives.

TOUR 3: CITY FARM ACCESS TOUR

Duration: 1.5 hours

$12.00 per person and a minimum of $120 per group.

​

The Urban Farm access tour is a staff guided tour of the farm in the spring and summer. This tour allows you to visit

and feed the animals, play a few games and enjoy a relaxing grounding experience in nature.
